It's early (or late, depending on your outlook) and as I am unable to sleep, I thought I might as well make a new blog. Since I have been taken with all things Anthropologie recently, this seemed the best place to start.
I'm not much of a retail shopper. The prices tend to give me heart failure and I don't necessicarily need to have the newest, latest and greatest looks. As long as they are truly classy, timeless and beautiful, I don't mind.
I've done quite a bit of online shopping recently, most of it for Anthro items. Dresses, skirts, shirts that are all far more girlie than my usual old style of "jeans and a basic t-shirt" would ever allow.
Does it really matter that the jeans are True Religion, Rock and Republic, Seven For All Mankind and Paige? I love being comfortable. The brands all fit perfectly (even in the length, which for me can be a major issue with a 35" inseam minimum) and are worth the price. I usually paired them with my favourite t-shirts (being Patagonia, North Face, Care Bears or whatever else struck my fancy) and comfortable shoes. Not the most flattering look. I think dressing the way I did added a lot of age onto my 33 year old self.
In the last couple of weeks, anytime I leave the house I look ... like a girl! A real, honest to god female. In skirts, cute shirts with (gasp) ruffles or cute detailing, or dresses. All purchased by me, all of which fit perfectly. All of which I have carefully washed, dried, (or in some cases, taken to the cleaners) and hung with care in my closet. It is such an amazing feeling walking into my closet and knowing that the things hanging up will fit me, all look fantastic on and go with other things I own.
I will add photos of my finds in time, and perhaps this will become a regular thing for me. I used to blog quite frequently and loved it. Time will tell where I end up spending my time and devotion.
In Love, Light and Joy,
Carla
